Marcia Salvary
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Lynwood Partners Educational Foundations
Marcia Salvary is the Executive Director of the Lynwood Partners Educational Foundation.  She works with the Foundation’s board of directors, Superintendent’s Council, and the Lynwood Unified School District to increase philanthropic investment and support for Lynwood’s students, teachers, and schools.

Since 2001, Marcia has served in senior management and development roles with Liberty Hill Foundation, Los Angeles Urban League, Don Bosco Technical Institute, and other respected organizations in Southern California.  At Liberty Hill, Marcia designed and led its Legacy Campaign raising over $1.7 million for essential capacity building and infrastructure needs.  At United Way, she worked with Southern California Gas Company to create its Tomorrow’s Leaders program providing youth from 7 to 17 with leadership training and computer skills.  

Guided by a passion for helping others and a commitment to building stronger communities, Marcia has established a track record of success transforming the innovative ideas of visionary leaders into high impact, cost-effective philanthropic investments.

Darrell Stewart
PRESIDENT
Intel Corporation
Darrell Stewart is Business Development Manager for Intel Corporation in its State, Local and Education group.  He joined Intel in 2000 as part of its Reseller Channel Organization working with school districts to leverage E-Rate funding strategies.  Prior to Intel, Mr. Stewart worked for Anixter, Lucent Technologies and Brite Voice Systems.  He serves on the board of the California Emerging Technology Fund, Loyola High School, and Classroom of the Future.  Mr. Stewart is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles.   
Lori D. Williams
VICE PRESIDENT
Kaiser Permanente
Lori D. Williams is an Executive Director at Kaiser Permanente, leading its Health Plan Regulatory and Public Exchange Operations. In this role she is responsible for ongoing management of the Affordable Care Act implementation across all regions, ensuring all relevant federal commercial and Medicaid insurance regulations are successfully implemented at KP and making sure it can continue to participate in the public Exchanges. Ms. Williams holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Human Factors Engineering from California State University, Northridge and completed the Harvard School of Business Executive Leadership Program.
Theresa Price
SECRETARY
National College Resources Foundation
Theresa Price is founder and president of the National College Resources Foundation and The College Expo, which connect students to colleges, universities, and post-secondary certification programs, as well as scholarships and college preparatory programs and resources. Ms. Price began her career in radio and television working for KGFJ-AM, KACE-FM, KCBS-TV, and Cox Broadcasting before founding her own marketing firm, Jabez 3 Enterprises, serving entertainment and recording companies, as well as local businesses. She attended California State University, Long Beach with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism.

Randy Barth
THINK Together

Randy Barth is the founder and CEO of THINK Together, the largest provider of extended learning time programs in California serving over 100,000 students at more than 400 locations in 40 school districts.  Prior to founding THINK Together in 1997, Mr. Barth began his career as an investment advisor with E.F. Hutton, Drexel Burnham, Smith Barney and later served as CEO of National Management, a $40 million privately held regional transportation company. He has served as chair of the Santa Ana Chamber of Commerce and a member of the board of the California Afterschool Network. Mr. Barth holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from UCLA and has attended the School of Management at Claremont Graduate University.

Mario Cardenas
Plaza Mexico

Since 2002 Mr. Cardenas has served as General Director of Plaza Mexico in Lynwood, a 48‐acre lifestyle and retail shopping center that combines the finest traditional Mexican marketplace with the American outdoor shopping experience. As a regional hub of Mexican‐American culture, Plaza Mexico hosts large festivals and celebrations of Mexican holidays, as well as high profile media events and concerts featuring nationally recognized entertainers, celebrities and political leaders. Mr. Cardenas is a graduate of Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa and actively involved in the cultural and civic leadership of the community. He has experience serving on many different boards and is the former President of Council of Mexican Federations (COFEM).  

Gudiel Crosthwaite, Ph.D.
Lynwood Unified School District
Dr. Crosthwaite joined the District in 2010 as Director of Elementary Reform. He began his career in education in 1994 as an eighth-grade teacher and later served as a high school English and English Language Development teacher before becoming an administrator at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Dr. Crosthwaite earned an undergraduate degree from University of California, Los Angeles. He holds two master’s degrees; one from California State University, Los Angeles in Educational Administration and another from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. He earned his Ph.D in Education from Claremont Graduate University.

Marlene Dunn
Lynwood Unified School District
Marlene Dunn is Chief Business Officer for the Lynwood Unified School District. She previously served as director of business advisory services for the Los Angeles County Office of Education where she was responsible for fiscal oversight of 80 public school districts and other agencies with budgets totaling more than $22 billion. She has developed programs and policies in the areas of school district solvency, financial analysis, budgets and fiscal reports aimed at helping districts run efficiently and put more resources into the classroom.

 

Mark Flores
City of Lynwood
Mark Flores is Director of Recreation and Community Services for the City of Lynwood. Mr. Flores has over 25 years of experience managing and developing municipal recreation and community programs, facilities, and large-scale public events. He received his bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University.

Natalia Flores
THINK Together
Ms. Flores is General Manager at THINK Together, the largest provider of extended learning time programs in California serving over 100,000 students at more than 400 locations in 40 school districts. Mr. Flores oversees two of its five regions, the Bay Area and the OCLA (Orange County and Los Angeles), its new Auxiliary Programs department, which provides customized educational programing to school districts, and its High School Expanded Learning Programs, which focus on imbedding a culture of College and Career readiness in all of its programs. Ms Flores is daughter to immigrant parents from Jalisco, Mexico, an alumna of Lynwood Unified School District, and a Lynwood resident. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Chicano Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Master’s degree in Education from Cal State University, Long Beach.

 


Paul Gothold Lynwood Unified School District
Paul Gothold is Superintendent of the Lynwood Unified School District. He is a public educator with over 18 years of experience in both in alternative and comprehensive high school programs. Mr. Gothold began his career as a teacher with the Los Angeles Office of Education working with at-risk youth at Alhambra High School. He has served as an Assistant Principal, Principal, Assistant Director and Director of Secondary Schools for Montebello Unified. In 2010, he was appointed Chief Academic Officer for Lynwood Unified and named Superintendent in 2013.

 

Julia Juarez
Office of Senator Ricardo Lara

Julia Juarez is Senior Field Representative for state Senator Ricardo Lara who represents the 33rd District, which includes the City of Lynwood. Ms. Juarez has more than 20 years of experience working with elected officials and nonprofit organizations throughout the state of California. She has served as Southern California regional director for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund and is a former board member Compton High School Alumni Association. Ms. Juarez earned a bachelor’s degrees in English Literature and political science from Point Loma Nazarene University and a master’s degree in leadership and organizational studies from Azuza Pacific University.

Mark Kudler
Bulletin Displays, LLC

Mark Kudler is the President of Bulletin Displays, LLC, one of the leading outdoor advertising companies in Los Angeles. He is the third generation in his family to be in the sign business. Mark specializes in working with landlords and with local governmental agencies in determining how best to utilize outdoor advertising. He has worked with various local agencies in removing signs, relocating signs and developing programs which generate revenue for those agencies. Mark personally designs the landmark message centers built by Bulletin Displays. Mark also services as President of two real estate holding companies, Kudco Diversified, Inc. and Kudco Diversified, LLC.

Mark is immediate past President for the California State Outdoor Advertising Association and serves on its Board and many of its committees, including the Public Service Announcement (PSA) Committee which he founded. He serves on the Boards of Directors for the Tomorrow’s Aeronautical Museum and Compton Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Executive Board of Directors for the Anti-Defamation League Orange County/Long Beach Region. He lives in Orange County and is married with two beautiful children.

Alma-Delia Renteria
Lynwood Board of Education
Alma-Delia Renteria was elected to the Lynwood Unified School District Board of Trustees in 2013 and is a teacher at the Monseñor Oscar Romero Charter School in Los Angeles. She is Chair of the Lynwood Alumni College Conference. Ms. Renteria earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Riverside and her teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University where she is currently pursuing a master’s degree in urban education.

Lalo Trujillo
Mission Trail Advisors, LLC
Mr. Trujillo is the founder and principal of Mission Trail Advisors, LLC, which specializes in advising school districts and municipal entities on financings for facilities improvement programs. He has over 25 years of experience in the commercial banking and municipal bond industry and has held leadership positions at the municipal bond departments of major commercial banks, investment banks, and in the financial advisory industry. Mr. Trujillo has served as Director of Finance for a city and a governmental agency in southern California. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
