The Lynwood Partners Educational Foundation (LPEF) awarded more than $104,000 in scholarships to 97 graduating seniors and promoted sixth-grade students from Lynwood schools at its annual Scholarship Reception on June 12, 2026.

Graduating seniors from Lynwood High School and Marco Antonio Firebaugh High School received College Pledge Scholarships, and for the first time, promoted sixth-grade students from Lynwood elementary schools received Early Promise Scholarships.

In alignment with the College Pledge, the Early Promise Scholarship is an early investment in Lynwood Unified's sixth-grade students, reinforcing the message that higher education is possible, encouraged, and within reach for every Lynwood student.

These scholarships will help members of the Class of 2026 pursue higher education and take important steps toward achieving their academic and career goals.

College Pledge Scholarship recipients will be attending a wide range of higher education institutions, including UCLA, UC Berkeley, Cal Poly Pomona, California State University, Long Beach, and UC San Diego. Students are also enrolling in private and out-of-state institutions, including USC, California Baptist University, and Wellesley College. Others will begin their higher education journeys at community colleges such as Long Beach City College, East Los Angeles College, and Cerritos College.

Funding for these scholarships was provided by LPEF partners, including California Community Foundation, Northgate Gonzalez Market, Kaiser Permanente, Southern California Edison, the Lynwood Rotary Club, the Adair Foundation, and California Credit Union, as well as many individual donors who contributed throughout the year.

Since its founding in 2015, the Lynwood Partners Educational Foundation has raised more than $1.25 million to support student scholarships, school-based grants, and STEM and wellness programs throughout the Lynwood Unified School District.

LPEF will continue to expand its offerings through the Lynwood College Pledge, Lynwood Early Promise, and the Lynwood Alumni Center, providing students and graduates with mentoring, career advising, and college-readiness support.
