President's Message 2026-27

It is an honor to serve as President of the Lynwood Partners Educational Foundation (LPEF) for the 2026–28 term. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside our Board of Directors, staff, Lynwood Unified School District, and community partners to expand opportunities for Lynwood students and families.

Throughout my legal career, I have helped organizations navigate complex challenges, build strong partnerships, and remain focused on the people they serve. As LPEF President, I will bring that same commitment to our work while keeping the needs and aspirations of Lynwood students at the center of every decision.

I believe education has the power to open doors, strengthen communities, and create opportunities that can shape a young person’s future. Every student deserves access to the resources, encouragement, and support needed to achieve their academic, career, and personal goals.

Celebrating Our Impact
During the past year, LPEF and its partners:

  • Awarded $104,250 in College Pledge and Early Promise Scholarships to 97 graduating seniors and promoted sixth-grade students.
  • Provided $10,000 in emergency grants to 20 recent LUSD graduates facing unexpected college-related expenses.
  • Invested more than $32,000 in 44 teacher and counselor grants and three school-wide grants supporting innovative learning and stronger school environments.
  • Continued providing college, career, financial aid, and persistence support through the Lynwood Alumni Center.
  • Brought 852 runners and walkers together for the fifth annual Lynwood Run 5K/10K, raising nearly $61,000 for student scholarships.
  • Expanded support for Lynwood families through the Lynwood Community Food Pantry.

These accomplishments reflect what is possible when people unite around a shared belief in Lynwood students.

Looking Ahead
During my term, we will build on this progress by expanding scholarships and college-persistence support, investing in educators and schools, strengthening career and workforce pathways, advancing student health and wellness, and developing partnerships that bring additional resources to Lynwood Unified.

None of this work is possible without the people and organizations that believe in Lynwood’s young people. I invite our alumni, families, educators, businesses, and community leaders to join us by contributing, volunteering, attending an LPEF event, establishing a scholarship, or creating a new partnership.

I look forward to working with Executive Director Elsa Chagolla, our Board of Directors, Superintendent Dr. Patrick Gittisriboongul, District leadership, and the entire Lynwood community. Together, we can ensure that Lynwood students have the support and opportunities they need to thrive in school and beyond.

Thank you for believing in Lynwood students and in the possibilities ahead.

Warm regards,

Stephen Faulk, Esq.
